Paul Vestey’s Ferrari 250LM leaving the paddock at Brands Hatch during the BOAC International 6 hour race meeting in 1968. Roy Pike co-drove the car with Vestey. Behind is the Alan Mann Ford F3L P68 with Bruce McLaren behind the wheel sharing with Mike Spence. The Ferrari design was several years old by 1968 whereas the Ford was brand new. Although McLaren qualified second on the grid and challenged for the lead it retired after 66 laps. The Ferrari, however completed the race in 15th position.
